Finding Flow at Work

square and circle post it notes

Every Wednesday, I share something that’s sparked my curiosity—a quote, resource, or idea—and a few thoughts on why it matters for how we work and lead.

Lately, one of my favorite things has been getting to be a guest on podcasts. Truly—great conversations with thoughtful people about work, meaning, and how to create lives that feel good? That is my happy place. And getting to share those conversations with people I care about—you included—feels like a gift.

One of the first podcast conversations I had recently was with Derek Hudson on the Essential Dynamics podcast. We recorded a two-part series about:

  • How to understand your unique Working Genius

  • What it means to find flow in your work

  • And how team dynamics shift when we allow people to work where they thrive

It’s rich, thoughtful, and a genuinely great introduction to the Working Genius model, especially if you’ve been curious about why some parts of work feel energizing and others feel… like pushing a boulder uphill.

Here are the episodes:

If you listen, I’d love to hear what stands out to you.

P.S. If you’d like to take the Working Genius assessment for yourself, just send me an email, hello@alliejonesconsulting.com. I’ll send you a free test code (normally $25) and get you set up. It’s my gift to you.
