About Allie Jones Consulting
Hey, I’m Allie.

I help leaders and teams grow with clarity and intention—because I believe thriving at work should feel possible, personal, and powerful.
My career started as a third-grade teacher in Kansas City. I loved helping my students grow and discover their potential, but I eventually found myself burned out and craving a new kind of creativity. Through what I now lovingly refer to as my “quarter-life crisis,” I spent about a year recovering from my burnout by traveling solo around the west coast, house sitting along the way and a freelance writing blog posts and website content for businesses. Coming in through the side-door of the marketing world led to a love for storytelling and strategy. What started as freelance writing turned into Illuminated Marketing, a boutique agency I’ve run for the past seven years, serving values-driven businesses and organizations across the country.
But even as my marketing work grew, I found myself pulled toward deeper conversations—about purpose, leadership, and the ripple effect of how we show up in the world.
That led me to launch Allie Jones Consulting, where I get to combine my love of teaching, coaching, and personal development to support leaders in becoming the kind of people others want to follow.
I’m a certified Enneagram and Working Genius coach, a former teacher, a business owner, and a big believer in the power of kindness and curiosity.
These days, I live in Central Iowa with my husband and our joyful, adventurous toddler twins. We love being outside, whether it's a walk around the neighborhood or a messy backyard picnic. I’m obsessed with journaling, growth-minded podcasts, and basically anything Brene Brown has ever said.
Thanks for being here. I’d love to connect.
Our Values
At Allie Jones Consulting, we strive to live at the intersection of intentionality and effectiveness. It is infused into our decisions, our day to day lives, and how we show up. As Brene Brown says, “If you’re not going to take the time to translate values from ideals to behaviors…it’s better not to profess any values at all. They become a joke. A cat poster. Total BS.” We couldn’t agree more—we believe how we show up matters just as much as what we do.
We are intentional.

Which means...
-
We cultivate kindness.
We believe in leading with compassion—because people thrive when they feel seen, safe, and valued.
-
We stay curious.
Every challenge is an invitation to learn. We ask better questions to uncover deeper clarity.
-
We consider the ripple effect.
The way we lead impacts far more than the bottom line—it shapes culture, community, and connection.
We are effective.

Which means...
-
We hone our craft.
We are committed to ongoing learning and excellence in everything we do.
-
We follow through.
Trust is built through consistency. We do what we say we’ll do.
-
We get to the heart of the matter.
We don’t shy away from the hard stuff. We create space for honest, transformative conversations.
Our Approach
We believe that thriving teams start with self-aware leaders. That’s why we take a whole-person, strengths-based approach to leadership development and organizational consulting.
Whether we’re coaching one-on-one, facilitating team experiences, or leading professional development, our work is rooted in clarity, alignment, and action.
As a former educator, I design learning experiences that are engaging, reflective, and results-oriented. I bring a teacher’s curiosity to every room I enter—always asking better questions, creating space for complexity, and inviting others to think deeply.
I believe in the power of nuance. Growth rarely happens in extremes, and the most sustainable transformation often lives in the both/and. I help leaders zoom out to see the systems at play, while also zooming in to understand the people within them. I bridge black-and-white thinking with insight and empathy, helping organizations move beyond quick fixes into thoughtful, long-lasting change.
We use frameworks like the Enneagram and Working Genius not as labels, but as tools for deeper understanding—supporting individuals and teams in identifying their strengths, communicating with intention, and working with more clarity and ease.
At the heart of it all, our work is about helping you and your organization thrive—not just function. Because when leadership is grounded in intentionality and supported by strategy, everyone benefits.
